We are searching for Vietnam Veterans Pictures for Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall

From: John J. Bouchard, Dist 1 Cmdr 12 October 2016

Subject: Submission of Vietnam Veterans Pictures for Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall

To: Department Officers, District and Post Commanders

As some of you recall, I briefed at the Council of Administration meeting about two (2) years ago a project that I have taken as a personal endeavor to having pictures of all of our State of Maine Vietnam Veterans who succumbed while in Vietnam to have their pictures posted in the "The Virtual Wall" in Washington D.C.

To date, I have been fortunate in obtaining many pictures but now am asking for your assistance as not only Department Officers but also as District Commanders to assist me in obtaining pictures of those 50 Veterans still not posted on the wall. I am also requesting that you please pass this information on to your respective Posts and Auxiliaries in recruiting their assistance in this program.

Would it not be wonderful if WE; in the Department of Maine could have every Vietnam Veterans killed in Vietnam having their pictures posted on "The Virtual Wall" for all to see and remember.

You can provide pictures in two (2) ways:

You can either mail them directly to the Vietnam Wall: The Virtual Wall, c/o Jim Schueckler, 8219 Parmelee Rd, Le Roy NY 14482-9346.

Mail me the picture and information to: John J. Bouchard, 102 Highland Ave, Fort Kent, ME 04743-1467

Or email to me at: jbgrunt@yahoo.com

Your support in making the Department of Maine, VFW the 2nd Department 100% completed would not only be a great honor for us all as Veterans but for all of those Vietnam Veterans families who lost a relative in Vietnam. It also would be tremendous remembrance to all of our State of Maine Vietnam Veterans that are deceased.

Yours in Comradeship

John J. Bouchard

Commander, District 1

Contact John Bouchard for a list of the Vietnam Veterans KIA that he doesn't yet have a picture of.
