The National
Counter Terrorism Center (NCTC) Director Joe Kent sent out a press
release on 19 September 2025 concerning al Qaeda's movement and build up
of terrorist operatives within the US last
month. Florida also issued a "duty to warn" to SF veterans who fought
in Iraq and Syria about potentially being targeted. DHS Secretary stated
just last week, over 6,000 known terrorists were issued social security
numbers. I believe this information should
be sent to our members and LEOs.
Lastly, we're
funding the Taliban 40 plus million dollars a month. This is a slap in
the face to every vet, not just GWOT. It passed the House in June and
now waiting on the Senate to bring it to
a vote. I think vets should reach out to our senators and demand a vote
on this bill ASAP.
